Moodle has an unfortunate propensity for eating your data: you accidentally click the Back button, or your browser crashes, and everything you just typed is instantly erased with no possibility of recovery.
Enter
Lazarus. This free Firefox utility saves the contents of your form data (which includes the HTML edit boxes you type into in Moodle) every time you navigate away from a page. If you lose data, you can easily recover it with a right click.
Note: this should not replace a careful system of typing into a text editor before copying and pasting into Moodle. Rather, use it a safety net for the times you
forget to do that.
